A New York State Trooper is suing a newspaper and individuals quoted in an article that accused him of overstepping his bounds during his work as a School Resource Officer at Hendrick Hudson High School. Trooper Mario Velez’s lawsuit, filed in State Supreme Court in White Plains, is seeking unspecified damages for libel from the North Country News, parents and students quoted in the story.
