The State Troopers PBA is proud to announce that President Daniel M. De Federicis has been named to the Criminal Justice Policy Team of Governor-elect Eliot Spitzer. This policy advisory committee, one of 13, will help guide the transition efforts of Spitzer and Lieutenant Governor-elect David Paterson. According to Spitzer’s Transition Office, the policy advisory committees are composed of a diverse group of leading experts and thought leaders from throughout the state.
It should also be noted that in the entire Criminal Justice Policy Team, only three members of the team are union presidents – De Federicis; Pat Lynch, President of the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association; and Ken Brynien, President of the Public Employees Federation, which represents probation officers.
The PBA has supported Governor-elect Spitzer throughout his candidacy and is honored to have the association’s President be chosen to help guide the transition for criminal justice policy.
