A New York State Trooper was shot during a traffic stop about 1 a.m. Saturday, but thankfully his wounds are not life-threatening. Trooper Sean Brown of SP Montour Falls in Troop E was listed in fair condition at an Elmira hospital following the incident in the town of Veteran in Chemung County. Police are still looking for the owner/driver of a dark Ford Mustang, possibly with a convertible top, which was believed to be involved in the incident. If you have any information, please contact SP Horseheads at 607-739-8796.
The State Troopers PBA sends wishes for a quick recovery to Trooper Brown.
