The NYS Troopers PBA is saddened by the loss of one of our newest members who collapsed during the morning physical training run and later died at Albany Medical Center. Trooper Donald R. Fredenburg, age 23, was in his second week of training with the 203rd Session of the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy. Trooper Fredenburg had served as a U.S. Marine from 2009-2013. A native of Utica, he is survived by his wife, Angela, father Donald, Sr. and mother, Joanne Cowley.
