Trooper Kristie Tarquinio, SP
Clarence - Troop A, recently completed the geographically challenging United
States Marine Corps Marathon which was held in the greater -Washington,
DC area in a time of 4 hours and 21
minutes. She placed 2,144 out of 8,061
women who entered from around the world.
The marathon is an arduous 26.2 mile run up and down the hilly terrain
surrounding the Washington, DC
area.
More than 24,000 runners signed up for the challenge but
only 20,674 finished. Kristie, who only trained for four months, was able
to finish 7,779 overall. Trooper Tarquinio, as a finisher, was awarded the
Marine Corps Marathon ribbon and medal set as well as a Marine Corps challenge
coin. OOH RAH!!
