Another LODD for California Highway Patrol
6/28/2010 10:48:54 AM
Another line-of-duty death has been suffered by the California Highway Patrol.
On June 27, 2010, Officer Justin McGory from the Barstow area was on a traffic stop when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Responding units performed CPR and he was transported to St. Mary's Hospital near Apple Valley where he succumbed to his injuries. He was the son of retired CHP Sgt. Bob McGory and leaves behind an expectant wife and three children. Officer McGory is the fourth CHP Officer to be killed in the line of duty this month and the 219th Officer killed in CHP history.
The NY State Troopers PBA sends its condolences to this officer's family, friends and co-workers. This has been an uncharacteristically difficult month for the California Highway Patrol.
