2nd Annual Tpr David Brinkerhoff 5K Run/Walk

The second annual Trooper David Brinkerhoff 5K race/walk will be held on June 19, 2010 at Boston Town Park.

Registration and packets will be available on Friday, June 18 from 5-8pm in the lower level of the Town Hall. Day-of registration and timing chip pick-up begins at 8:00 am with a Kid's Fun Run taking place at 9:30. The 5K race and walk begin promptly at 10:00 followed by post race food, drinks, awards, beer, and music. Awards given to top male and female runners and 5-year age groups through 75+. Awards also given to top male and female law enforcement officers along with winners of team challenge in the Law Enforcement and Fire/Rescue categories.

Members of Law Enforcement and Fire/Rescue agencies are encouraged to form 3-member teams and use your total time to compete against each other.

The 5K event is sponsored by the Trooper David C. Brinkerhoff Foundation, which was organized to provide financial assistance to Buffalo and Albany, NY area individuals and organizations for the needs of: post secondary educational services (scholarships), law enforcement and emergency responders, and community organizations involved in youth sports and families living with the challenges of a family member with special needs.
