News segment about manpower shortage for Troopers

PBA President Thomas H. Mungeer was interviewed by Albany-area news station WTEN about the manpower problems facing New York State Troopers since Gov. David Paterson has not allocated any funds in the proposed 2010 - 2011 Executive Budget for a new Academy class. The PBA has been vocal in voicing concerns for public safety in the wake of the manpower shortage. The news story also covers the issue of the Governor stating in his budget proposal that School Resource Officers will be removed from their current assignments at the end of this school year.
